This is a new adventure for me. I hope it helps you.
My goal at the end of the day is for people to use Linux, Open Source Software and Federated Media. I want us to take the power away from Big Tech and Advertisers because they are wielding that power incredibly irresponsibly and dangerously.
They are leaving the rest of the world behind in poverty; financial poverty, cultural poverty, resource poverty and spiritual poverty. They do so without a single care given. They are happy to make the world burn while they tell their lies chasing the investment dollar.
As a user of technology, making the required changes is a process and there is a learning curve. But if we don’t put in the effort, the alternatives will be taken away for good. At that point there is no going back.
We must exercise our freedoms or those freedoms will be taken away.
It is unlikely anyone in the modern world can simply switch to FOSS in an instant or even do so completely in any given timeframe. Even if they do so, it is improbable that everyone in their network does the same (but the more people do the better). It is not about saying no to Big Tech but about making Big Tech not Big. Please remember that if my actions seem conflicting.
It is about equilibrium, balance and fairness.
It is resistance to manipulation and control.
The fight is not about free speech like they would have you believe. The fight is about a free mind.
I will continue to do my best and as I learn I will share with you my experiences. I hope you decide to take part in your own adventure and share your experiences too.
